The Needed Updates

The 3 Series have been anticipated, especially with the predictive promise that it will be as stylish as ever. However, be prepared to deal with the fact that this ride may not be as young as before. Being in the industry for quite some time has shown its toll on the series. When compared to the Audi A4, Jaguar XE, and Mercy C-Class, the 3 Series is somewhat looking grayish and more ‘mature’ than the counterparts.

For the upcoming 2019 model, the ride will be built on CLAR platform, which affects the weight in general. Expect a reduction up to 80 kilos from the current one. It may not seem a lot for a car, but it is pretty okay to improve dynamic and move of the ride. BMW has been planning to focus on the dynamics, new chassis, and also weight loss to create a more appealing outcome for this vehicle. Kind of makes you wondering about the 2019 BMW 3 Series release date, eh?

Engine and Power

On this section, it seems there is a bit of downsizing work. The base petrol engine will likely come with turbo triple unit with 1.5 liter capacity while the base diesel will be coming with the three pot 1.6 liter one. It is likely that there will be inline six turbo and also turbo four within the lines of options, although there hasn’t been any official confirmation about it. Is it possible that the 2019 will pack some of the electric technology? Rumor has it that the 90 kWh battery may be included, covering 300 miles, but such as rumor hasn’t been confirmed just yet. However, considering that hybrid line is getting popular these days, hopefully, Beemer will be thinking about including this one into their production stage.

So far, there hasn’t been any official confirmation about the price or release date. For the price, it’s hard to tell with so little info from Beemer.  For the 2019 BMW 3 Series release date, it is most likely that it will debut at some point by the end of 2018 or by the early of 2019.
